Fun to Save is designed to appeal to the younger user and their parents/ carers. It will enable you to introduce the concept of money and saving to your child through the easy to play games which will encourage your child to be an independent and confident learner. While playing the games children will be rewarded with points which can be saved and used to spend in the virtual shop. As well as games to play there are useful suggestions for activities to do with your child away from the computer.
A Child Trust Fund (CTF) is a great way for families to save for their children’s future, but for parents who aren’t confident about finances, opening an account can be daunting. If this sounds like parents you work with, there’s plenty of information available that you can pass onto them. Take a look at the CTF website: www.childtrustfund.gov.uk – it has a special section for advisers and intermediaries. And for parents who prefer to use the phone, the CTF helpline is 0845 302 1470 (8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).
